Outdoor Waterside Wedding Ceremony in Nova Scotia

A bride and groom walking back up the aisle a moment after being pronounced married, with the ceremony arch, the water and their guests behind them. Outdoor ceremonies on the water are a Nova Scotia specialty and we have photographed hundreds of them, in every kind of weather. On a bright summer afternoon like this the trick is to keep the sun behind the couple and expose for their faces, so the sky keeps its colour and nobody squints. One of us shoots the recessional from the front and the other from the back of the ceremony, to catch the guests' faces and the wide scene. This is the front view.
