Lord Nelson Hotel Server Setting Up a Corporate Dinner

A server placing water glasses on a black-draped table in the ballroom of the Lord Nelson Hotel, in the quiet before a corporate dinner in Halifax. We photographed the room as it was being set - the purple uplighting, the ivory chairs, the flowers - because the venue and the client both wanted images of the space before the guests arrived. Getting the server to stop for a moment and smile turned a room shot into a picture with a person in it. The Lord Nelson on South Park Street is a venue we photograph regularly for corporate dinners, galas, and conferences, and its ballrooms and meeting rooms handle groups from ten to several hundred. Event and corporate photography in Halifax has been part of our work since 1995.
