Halifax Dad and Daughter Holding Hands - Black and White

A black and white studio portrait of a young girl in profile, her small hand in her dad's. One of the rewarding things about being a photographer is witnessing the birth and evolution of a family. We photographed this family before she arrived, and we love how little her hand is compared to her dad's and how much of her mom is already in that face. We made this in the studio at 19 Diana Drive in Hammonds Plains with one soft light and a dark background, and converted it to black and white so nothing competed with the hands. Details like this are part of every family session we do - the group picture is the anchor, but frames like this are why families come back year after year.
