Groomsmen Running in Leighton Dillman Park, Dartmouth

The groomsmen sprinting across the lawn at Leighton Dillman Park in Dartmouth, with one of them already down. We asked for a run toward the camera and got exactly what we hoped for, plus a fall nobody planned. The wedding party photos are usually the loosest part of the day and we like to keep them moving, literally in this case. A fast shutter and a long lens froze the jackets mid-flight, and black and white took the distraction out of the fall foliage. Leighton Dillman Park sits on the Dartmouth side of the harbour, and its lawns and old stone walls make a good stop between a Dartmouth ceremony and a Halifax reception.
