Groom and Groomsmen Portrait, Halifax Wedding

The groom straightening his tie with his groomsmen in a soft line behind him. We set this one up in the shade of a covered walkway so the light stayed even on his face, then let a long lens and a wide aperture turn the seven men behind him into shapes and matching purple ties. It gives the groom a portrait of his own without taking him away from his friends, and it takes about two minutes. Getting-ready photographs on the groom's side often get rushed, so we build a little time into the morning for them and one of us is always with the groom while the other is with the bride.
