CPA High School Grad Plus Session - Ballet Dancer Portrait

A Charles P. Allen High School graduate in the blue CPA gown and sash, her worn pointe shoes over her shoulder. The shoes were her idea. They are scuffed and soft from years of use, and they say more about how she spent high school than anything we could pose. This is what we mean by a Grad Plus session - the formal cap-and-gown portrait first, then whatever the grad brings to tell the rest of the story. Dance, music, sport, a pet, the car they worked all summer for. We photographed this in the studio at 19 Diana Drive in Hammonds Plains on a classic backdrop with soft light from one side so the satin on the shoes kept its sheen. Both of us photograph every grad session, and CPA regalia is kept at the studio.
