Bridesmaids See the Bride for the First Time

Six bridesmaids and a flower girl seeing the bride in her dress for the first time, photographed over the bride's shoulder from the doorway. We focused on their faces and let the bride fall into a soft veil in the foreground, because the reaction is the story. Everyone finds something different in this frame, from the gasp on the left to the flower girl in the middle who has decided this is very serious business. Black and white keeps the attention on expressions rather than on the hotel room. A first look with the bridal party is worth building into the morning schedule; it takes thirty seconds and it is often one of the frames the bride comes back to. Two photographers at every wedding means one of us is already in position for it.
