Bedford Blues Hockey Player Portrait

A close-up portrait of a Bedford Blues hockey player, shot tight through the cage of his helmet so nothing distracts from the look in his eyes. We lit this one from the side in the studio to pick up the texture of the cage and the glove, then let the background fall to black. Sports portraits like this are a favourite add-on to our family sessions in Halifax and Bedford. Kids spend years in a rink, a gym, or on a pitch, and a portrait that shows that side of them ends up meaning as much to parents as the classic family picture. Bring the gear - helmet, stick, skates, jersey - and we will build a set around it.
