Questions about headshots
How much does a headshot cost in Halifax?
A standard business headshot is $195 + HST - a 15-minute session, one outfit and backdrop, an online proofing gallery and one retouched file. The signature session is $395 + HST for 45 minutes with unlimited backdrops and wardrobe changes and five retouched files. Additional retouched images are $95 each + HST.
What should I wear for a headshot?
Darker solids are the safe bet. Avoid bold patterns and be careful with white unless it is under a jacket. Think of what you would wear to meet a new client. Our headshot guide covers hair, makeup and clothing in more detail.
Is retouching included?
Yes. Every image you order is retouched - shadows, blemishes and small imperfections removed, eyes and skin improved without making you look unrealistically photoshopped.
Can you photograph our whole team?
Yes. We run headshot days at your office or at our studio, priced by headcount - from $49 per person + HST for larger teams - with matching lighting and backgrounds across everyone. See our corporate page for details.
Where is the studio?
19 Diana Drive in Hammonds Plains, about twenty minutes from downtown Halifax, with easy parking. Most standard headshots are done in 15 minutes, so they fit into a workday.
I hate having my picture taken. Is that a problem?
Not at all - we hear it on a regular basis. We give constant direction and feedback through the session, so you will not have time to feel awkward, and there are two of us to keep it relaxed.
