Kate and Alex have photographed Nova Scotia families since 1995 - many of them first as wedding clients, now with kids of their own in front of the camera.

After your session, collections are chosen right from your private online gallery: The Favourites (five retouched files, $495 + HST), The Story (fifteen files plus a $100 print credit, $795 + HST), or The Whole Story (your complete archive with a $200 print and wall-art credit, $1,295 + HST). Heirloom prints from $45 + HST, canvas from $245 + HST, Italian-made albums from $995 + HST.

How much does a family photo session cost in Halifax?
A studio session is $95 + HST and an on-location session is $295 + HST. Both are 45 minutes with two photographers, for families of 2 to 20. After the session you choose a collection from your private online gallery - The Favourites ($495 + HST), The Story ($795 + HST) or The Whole Story ($1,295 + HST) - and there is no minimum purchase.
Where do family sessions happen?
At our studio at 19 Diana Drive in Hammonds Plains - 1,200 square feet inside plus two acres outdoors, so you get studio and outdoor pictures in one visit - or on location at your home, a favourite park, or a beach anywhere in the Halifax area.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes. Dogs are always welcome at family sessions, in the studio and outdoors.
What should we wear?
Darker solids - denim, greens, browns, greys and blues - and avoid bright colours, busy patterns and too much white. You do not all need to match. Our guide to planning your family session covers clothing, timing and what to bring.
When do we see our photos?
Your private online gallery is ready within 24 hours of the session. You browse, choose your favourites and order at your own pace, and we are always happy to help with sizing and placement for wall art.
Is it really two photographers?
Yes - we photograph every family session together. One of us can keep the kids engaged while the other shoots, and you get two angles on every moment.
